The crankcase cover arrived very quickly and when I opened it I was impressed by how good it looked: sturdy and well finished. A little heavier than I expected (4200 g) because the three support bridges that brings to anchor it to the chassis of the bike are steel and not aluminum 4 mm as the oil pan. The 14 screws it comes with are also heavy. It has many more anchorages and supports to the chassis than the original of my Yamaha Ténéré 700 extreme 2024, which I disassembled totally dented. When I mounted it, according to instructions, everything went well until I tried to thread the last three screws on the bridge where it is supported by the front. They did not thread because they did not fit the 3 holes of the cover with the 3 nuts of the bridge. After a lot of research, I realized that the oil pan did not reach its position because it was sticking with the support of the protection that the bike has on the exhaust (it is the new exhaust that Yamaha mounts to meet EURO 5). To solve this problem, I had to make a hole in the exhaust cover the size of the bracket (as shown in the photo). In my opinion, the skid plate should not even rest on the exhaust pipe because a hit on that side of the skid plate will always damage the exhaust against which it rests. In this case, it is not that it rests, it is that it overlaps it and that is why the hole has to be made.

Zakupiłem osłonę pod silnik. Bardzo jest wytrzymała i wykonana z mocnego materiału. Nie raz już podskoczyłem na kamieniu i nic się z nią nie stało oczywiście poza zadrapaniami. Cena może nie jest najtańsza ale na ten moment mogę stwierdzić, że warto doinwestować i wymienić!

Zakupiłem osłonę pod silnik. Bardzo jest wytrzymała i wykonana z mocnego materiału. Nie raz już podskoczyłem na kamieniu i nic się z nią nie stało oczywiście poza zadrapaniami. Cena może nie jest najtańsza ale na ten moment mogę stwierdzić, że warto doinwestować i wymienić!

Osłona dobrze sprawdziła się na zagranicznych górskich tet-ach. Mimo wielu uderzeń w kamienie i głazy, powstały tylko zarysowania lakieru i wgięcie osłony kiwaka, ale to akurat można sobie odciągnąć ręką. Mały minus za fasolki montażowe, trochę trzeba było je poprawić. Polecam zakup.
